About Robin Hwang
Hello, I'm Robin Hwang, a dedicated first generation student at the University of Michigan studying Computer Science. My area of interest lies in the practical applications of computer science. I love optimization problems and coming up with algorithmic solutions for them. Check out my personal projects to see my coolest endeavors. It turns out that there exists a Turing Machine for a lot of our every day tasks, and for tasks in which a Turing machine doesn't exist, you can save yourself a lot of time by not even attempting to solve the problem. Just prove that the task is unsolvable via a Turing Reduction!My background lies in artificial intelligence, DevOps, product management, and high performance computing. I leverage all of these background to optimize software for particle physicists, replacing old and inefficient proportional-integral-derivative (PID) control methods. I also enjoy organizing conferences and love the thrill of sharing my ideas in front of thousands of interested attendees (check out relevant conference administration positions below)!When I'm not engrossed in technology, I enjoy writing song lyrics, sampling diverse cuisines, and playing video games. I'm trying to get into singing/audio editing as a hobby, and recently, I've been making road test videos!
