Enlisted in the Army National Guard at age 34. Against all odds and almost no encouraging support I strived and completed boot camp with other soldiers who were almost half my age, continued on to my A.I.T. where I pushed even harder and completed for "Honor Graduate". I achieved this goal and finished in the top ten of over four hundred. I proudly served my country until an auto accident in 2004 rendered me unable to perform as a Medical Specialist and I was given an Honorary Discharge.
