As an artist and photographer, my practice fuses art and technology, often in a documentary, semi-autobiographical context. Over the past 15 years, I have developed a career in working in the fields of technology and creativity. Since becoming self-employed in 2010, my commissioned work has ranged from photography, making short films and web and print design. Some of these commissions include:– Photography: Commissions by art organisations to document through photography projects and activities.– Filmmaking: Commissions by art organisation to make short documentary film for art and education projects. – Design: Online and print design for posters, logos and websites.– Education: Lead workshops with artists or young people providing hands-on experience and practical knowledge.

International software company providing solutions and consultancy for media organisations; I had a major role in deployment and support for the Editorial Archive and Sharing (EAS) system for Independent News and Media. Through this project I have gained experience in integrating large scale systems and being the primary point of contact with the client and communicating issues to management and developers.Other than EAS, I have also been highly involved in testing, deploying and supporting Editorial and Archive systems for well-established newspapers in the Middle East. Other additional skills that I have gained include:- Training newspapers of 200+ editorial, production and IT staff on using the systems- Highly involved in collecting requirements from clients and communicating them to management for consideration in future releases - Influential input in the re-organisational process of editorial workflows and rolling out the change as smoothly and efficiently as possible for newspapers of 200+ editorial, production and IT staff - Technical training of new recruits on the different products - Pro-actively built a support infrastructure and test management system, solely and all based on Open Source technologies- Successfully developed automated scripts through third party applications to monitor the different parts of the systems and alert the administrators of any faults.
