Haley received her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Dental Hygiene from the University of Missouri-Kansas City-School of Dentistry, focusing her graduate studies on education, public health & policy.Haley’s broad dental clinical experience includes periodontics, pedodontics, oral maxillofacial prosthodontics, & oral oncology in both hospital and private practice dentistry.As a 18+ year business owner and dental hygiene educator, Haley mentors and prepares dental professionals for the many facets of dentistry and the inherent responsibilities of serving the public. Haley believes that mentoring her current and future generations is the greatest way to have the impact the lives of those she serves and works beside.Haley’s passion is to see dentistry progress and meet the needs of all people. She is actively involved in the ADHA at the local, state and national level. She volunteers her time locally to mentor dental hygiene students and new graduates, and works with many local and international nonprofits. Haley helped initiate and continues to assist in the operation of a free, orphanage-based dental clinic in Puebla, Mexico that serves it's underserved residents and the surrounding community.Haley's education background includes teaching in two University and Community College Dental Hygiene programs, as well as guest lecturing in over a dozen other programs for dental hygiene and therapy. Haley was a contributing author to the Darby & Walsh Dental Hygiene Theory & Practice 5th edition printed in 2019 & the 6th edition in 2023, and is an educator & KOL for Dentsply Sirona Hygienist's Circle series. Haley has acted as a reviewer and contributing educator to dental hygiene management, public health, and advanced practice courses as well, and continues to speak and teach in these areas.
