When I was 14 years old, I came to Canada alone to study English. It was the first time I went outside of Korea without my parents. However, by experienced living alone in another country, I am able to adapt quickly to new fields and get along well with new faces. I am fluent in English and Korean; however, intermediate speaking and listening level in Japanese. I gained work experienced in both Canada and Korea as a server, but I want to work in customer service that has to deal with many people outside of the food and beverage sector. I love hearing other stories and helping others to make them happy. If someone gets happier by solving problems with my help, it's the most meaningful thing. Currently, I am a student at Capilano University majoring in Bachelor of Tourism Management to get more knowledge of Tourism industries in each sector. The university is helping me to develop the skills of leadership, marketing, operations, finance, and human resources. In tourism courses, there are field trips, many case competitions during the class, and many guest speakers are coming into the lectures, and explorers their experiences. As well, the school provides many networking events that help to gain communication skills with new faces. I am seeking a job in the event industry.
