I am excited to announce that I have recently joined Hanwha Mining Services as a Principal Engineer. In this role, I will focus on drilling and blasting consulting, leveraging my expertise to optimise and innovate in this critical area of mining operations. A significant part of my responsibilities will involve business development, where I aim to forge new partnerships and expand our reach in the industry. Also, I will be dedicated to developing comprehensive engineering references to help advance and educate practices within the field.

Key responsibilities:Leading and supervising demand-driven research projects and collaborations with industry partners by developing pragmatic engineering systems. Creation of engineering principles and methodologies to solve engineering challenges to support the mining industry. Academic service duties of mentoring and consulting junior academics, doctorate, master, and undergraduate mining engineering students. Assessment of postgraduate applications as a postgraduate course coordinator of the school. Doctorate Research, Western Australian School of Mines, Curtin UniversityDevelopment of a Neuro-fuzzy system of underground production blasting dilution prediction and engineering decision-making system. Research funded by Curtin University and supported by AngloGold Ashanti and Gold Fields.

Leading master’s study program with consistently communicating with field engineers to solve challenging engineering difficulties. Disseminating research results through various distinguished journal publications and conferences. Supervise and mentor junior students. Guest lecture for units for Rock Mechanics, Geotechnical Engineering and Rock Blasting Engineering. Leading and working with team members incorporation with various research bodies including government, universities, and top-leading industry partners. Accountability to manage surface and underground blasting design and execution, reconciliation and Quality Assurance and Quality Control. Reporting pre and post blasting analysis report. Supervision of blasting crew. Blasting hazardous monitoring and analysis data to report - including effects of blasting induced vibration, air-pressure and fly-rock. Production assurance management - overbreak and underbreak, back-break, and fragmentation control. Perform geotechnical investigations, data acquisition, assessments and analysis of slope and underground stope stability to provide engineering reports.
