Hyowon CHI - www.hyowonchi.comAlready at 14, Hyowon CHI debuted as a soloist with Busan Symphony Orchestra in Mozart's Flute Concerto. He obtained 4 Artist Diplomas at age 19 at the Paris Conservatory : flute (prof. Claude Lefebvre), piccolo (Nathalie Rozat), chamber music (Eric Le Sage & Paul Meyer) and orchestra (Gilbert Audin). He then completed his musical education at the Haute École de Musique in Geneva with Jacques Zoon.He is a laureate of the Leopold Bellan International Competition in 2010 and won 1st prize in chamber music at the Brest International Competition in 2015.He performs in prestigious concert halls collaborating with Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra, Korean National Symphony Orchestra, Morocco Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestre Colonne, Korean National Opera, New York City Ballet, Canada National Ballet, Vienna State Ballet, Korean National Ballet, etc.In 2016, he performed Bartók's pieces as a soloist at the Philharmonie de Paris as part of the «Prelude Concert» of Orchestre de Paris.In the 2020 - 2021 season, he was invited to collaborate for the production of 5 music albums with renowned composers and musicians such as Naji Hakim, Amaury Du Closed... He also appeared on France2, France3, Arte, Sky Arte (Italy), KBS1 (South Korea), France Musique, Radio Classique...He was a flute professor at the École de musique de Chessy in 2014-2015 and has taught flute and piccolo at the Conservatoires de la Ville de Paris (CMA 9) as a substitute professor in 2017-2018.
