Civica are a global IT company providing a range of business-critical software, digital solutions and consultancy for blue chip organisations.Hazel was a Senior Business Consultant working in the digital consultancy division of Civica.This role involved supporting the process of bidding and proposal writing for new business and creating content and presenting Civica capability and experience including the creation of detailed statement of works for both fixed price outcome-based delivery or simple time and materials.Hazel lead the change capability, taking responsibility of ownership and management of the change framework. Weatherbys provides British horse racing with its central administration under contract to the British Horseracing Authority, acts as its bank and maintains the Thoroughbred breed register.Hazel worked as a Business Analyst on the New Racing Administration System. Aspects of the role included:- Assisting the facilitation of workshops for eliciting requirements from subject matter experts.- Identifying and resolving issues with ‘as-is’ processes.- Defining and maintaining functional specifications including Use Cases, User Interface Specifications and Common Catalogues such e.g. Business Rules, Audit Events, etc.- Supporting Build and Test work streams in the identification, diagnosis and resolution of defects.- Consideration of the impact of customer requirements within the organisation as a whole.- Prepare and facilitate the progress of system development requests for estimation and development.- Co-ordinate end user training and supporting documentation to aid client acceptance.- Wire frame design using Axure and Balsamic. - External stakeholder training.
