With almost 8 years of work experience in the humanitarian sector, I am a team leader at the International Catholic Migration Commission (ICMC), a global organization that protects and serves refugees and migrants. My core competencies include team management, performance monitoring, operational strategy development and communications. As a team leader at ICMC since June 2022, I manage the schedule and assignments of duties of our team members who conduct refugee resettlement interviews for the US Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP). I also liaise with partners and donors such as UNHCR, PRM, USCIS, and ensure coordination with other departments. Additionally, I contribute to training activities and follow up with administrative assignments. In my previous role as a caseworker at ICMC, I conducted over 500 refugee resettlement interviews and wrote detailed reports. I have developed strong skills in communication, interviewing, report writing, and working under pressure.Previously I worked as a News Editor at TRT World, managing a team of producers. I used my in depth knowledge of political science, international relations and writing skills to direct my team of producers in identifying the perspectives and framework while creating their news videos and articles. I am also a published author in the field of international relations.
