• Ensure the Front Office operates successfully and are individually profitable in accordance with the standard of the hotel• Establish rapport with guests maintaining good customer relationship and handle all guest complaints, requests and inquiries on Front Office services • Assists with the development and maintenance of a detailed Department Operations Manual that reflects policies and procedures, work processes and standards of performance within the Division. Ensures annual review to accurately reflect any changes• Exercises efficient Payroll Management/Resource allocation through the establishment of a flexible workforce throughout the Division. This will be based on the principles of a flexible employee base (Full Time and Part Time employees), multi-skilling and multi-tasking• Recruit, select and develop Front Office employees to work following the operational, financial, administrative philosophies willing to become multi skilled and perform multi tasks• Represents ROOMS on the hotel executive Committee in the absence of the Division Head of ROOMS ensures the efficient & economic operation of the ROOMS Division providing services and support to other Divisions as required, maintaining equipment in optimum condition• Is knowledgeable in statutory legislation in employee and industrial relations, understanding and strictly adhering to rules and regulations established in the Collective Labour Agreement, Employee Handbook and the hotels policies concerning Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety and Emergency situation

• Assist the Front Office Manager in efficiently managing the Front Desk according to the established concept statement providing a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service at all times• Liase with Accounting Department and Convention Services Department related to Group / Conference / Incentive groups billing arrangement• Through hands on management, supervise closely all Front Desk employees in the performance of their duties in accordance with policies and procedures and applicable laws• Attends and contributes to all Meetings as required

• Handle guest requests/complaints in a courteous and efficient manner and submits a report to Management on all actions taken on a daily basis• Assist the Front Office Manager in supervising all Front Office operations in accordance to the established concept statement providing a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service at all times• Assist to conduct daily pre-shift briefings to employees on rooms occupancy, arrival and departures, functions/events and any special attention matter as and when required• Inspects pre-assigned accommodations for VIP guests, ensuring that all room set ups and amenities are prepared according to established standard.Welcomes and escorts all arriving VIP guests to the room. Meet departing VIP at hotel lobby and ensure smooth billing, luggage collection and airport transfer arrangement.• Ensure preparations for Group arrivals, including room keys, check in venue, and arrival amenities• Maintains and submits an up-to-date file/report on all guests’ incidents• Keeps respective department heads informed of any incidents involving their department• To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned
