Software development, hardware integration, design, analysis and manufacturing of solid fuel scale rockets, used for inter-university competitions.

Spaceport America Cup is the biggest intercollegiate sounding rocket competition internationally. UTS participated for the first time in 2023, competing in the 10K ft COTS solid fuel motor category, with a rocket 2.2m tall and 10cm in diameter. As payload team lead, I held responsibility for the development and manufacture of a modular experimental payload.

The role incorporated consistent liason with contractors and clients in order to provide accurate price estimations and official tendering documentation on behalf of the company. Technical design mock-up was often undertaken, through the use of CAD and rendering software.
