After graduation from the Department of Medical Biology and Laboratory Science of Chang-gung University, I chose to study in the Institute of Microbiology of Taiwan University. Later, I joined the laboratory of Mi-Hua Tao, who is major in developing cancer immunothreapy and HBV treatment, from Laboratory of the Biomedical Center of Academia Sinica. In Professor Tao's laboratory, I learned how to use immunotherapy to treat cancer. In this research, I analyzed the immune mechanism of post-treatment mouse. I have also participated in the American Association of Immunologist (AAI). In this conference, I broadened my view and expanded my knowledge of utilizing immunotherapy to treat more diseases. After graduation, in order to complete my study and learn more laboratory skills, I continued to work as a research assistant in Professor Tao's laboratory, I have learned how to culture stabled cell-lines, drug screening by cells, cell cloning, manufacture of viruses (Adenovirus or AAV) for immunotherapy, animal experiments (establishing tumor models on mouse, tracking tumor cells in vivo, oval drug injection or intravenous injection). For analysis, I used PCR and Real Time-PCR for genetic analyzing, using flow cytometry for analysis of cell distribution in tumor after treatment. After working in Professor Tao's laboratory for four and a half years, we published our first paper. In order to improve my research skills, I participated in Professor Tsong-Long Huang's laboratory, which is in the Institute of Natural Medicine of Chang-Gung University, to study how to treat blood cancer by using traditional Chinese medicine. In Professor Huang's laboratory, I screened many kinds of chemotherapy drugs extracted from Chinese medicine for leukemia. After working in Professor Tsong-Long Huang's laboratory for two years, in order to accumulate my experience in the hospital, I entered Armful Care Hospital in Taoyuan as a medical technologist. My main work was to do blood test, to identify microorganism in stool, sputum and urine, and to detect Covid-19 with PCR.
