After leaving Retail I joined NTA then trading as SOS (Sure Office Systems).Intense training brought me up to speed in the Telecoms/Networking industry. My initial telecoms training was in BT Brentwood Exchange. I went to do courses in LG GDK range including GDK 16 achieving top grades. Later as new systems were launched I gained certification for LG IPLDK range, LG IPECS (First release), Avaya IP Office, Mitel 3300 and NEC XN120. I was involved in VoIP at a very early stage in it development. Networking Alchemys (an earlier version of IP Office) in London, Istanbul and Nicosia. Crossing hurdles of illegal VoIP in Turkey with VPN tunnels between the UK and Turkey. Our client loved the system and use of Phone Manager CTI to monitor calls and staff across international domains. On Launch of IPLDK I networked the Main Office IPLDK 300 with the Directors house, an IPLDK 100 and My House a NEXER. All could interlink to use each other's lines and page( public address ) across sites as well as direct extension dialing and BLF between site SOS soon evolved into NTA which offered a fully Hosted VoIP service, one of the first company's to have a direct IP interlink onto the BT public network. Initially interlinked were done through Gamma. The system was SIP/Asterisk based using a propriety operating system called EnSwitch by Integrics. I gained experience in programming to customers requirements more than confident in programming and setting up various SIP phones and adaptors such as , Elmeg, Linysys, Polycom, SNOM, Grandsteam and Yealink. Also saving the client money on Handsets by getting SIP firmware for their existing IP Phones ie MiTel and SiemensI also gained experience in installation of CCTV and Access control. Remote relays including SIP based relays to control lighting, shutters and door entry.
