My research interest lies on the application of interpretable CNN models in the detection of diabetic retinopathy from fundus images

I currently work as a data scientist and researcher in the “Analytical Capabilities Project”, in partnership with the State Public Ministry of Minas Gerais.In 2021, I started to lead the team responsible for classifying and improving public expenditure data.In addition, I worked with the detection of participation of shell companies in public tenders.

Worked on the preparation of technical data science material for a data science course in partnership with the Brazilian Ministry of Health.

- Developed two entire data science projects applying CRISP-DM methodology; - Applied anomaly detection algorithms to support decision making in legal sector; - Implemented a data integration system based on text similarity by using Python; - Developed a quantitative research with main speech-to-text tools available, in order to select the best one to transcribe calls in Portuguese; - Heavily used text mining and statistical tests in order to evaluate transcription quality and compare results; - Taught Python programming focused on data science in order to increase team productivity; - Awarded for two consecutive years as a highlight in technical knowledge and social skills.
