LINX Cargo Care Group is ports, rail and logistics service provider operating under multiple brands and entities in New Zealand and Australia and is a subsidiary of NYSE entity Brookfield Infrastructure Partners. Reporting to the CFO, I managed a finance function with ~18 FTEs with responsibility for:➢ The financial accounting and reporting team responsible for the technical accounting matters, consolidation and reporting of the Groups monthly, quarterly and annual results, operating in a Sarbanes-Oxley environment;➢ The payroll team responsible for processing payroll of monthly employees and weekly employees on ~30 Enterprise Agreements across multiple entities; ➢ The tax compliance team responsible for all direct and Indirect taxes for the Group;➢ The accounts payable and credit control teams;➢ The treasury function including the day to day cash management and the debt facility, debt covenant management and reporting;➢ The head office financial results;➢ Co-ordinating the monthly close process across multiple business units;➢ Accounting for all large and unusual transactions including two acquisitions, one of which was business combination across multiple entities and locations, including a step-up acquisition;➢ All technical finance related matters including writing accounting papers supporting transactions.

Xenith IP Group Limited is an ASX Listed owner of a group of leading specialist intellectual property professional service firms. Key achievements:➢ Successfully managed the accounting for two transformational business combinations, which included two short-term Earn out calculations;➢ Writing a number of accounting papers to the Audit and Risk Committee Papers and Board of Directors simplifying the understanding of complex accounting topics including Business Combinations, Goodwill Allocation, Impairment Assessments, and Hedging; ➢ Transformed finance teams from partnerships accounting into disciplined ASX listed finance teams;➢ Lead the integration of the finance functions including aligning the accounting policies and practices, monthly board and corporate reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes; consolidating bank and credit card facilities, adding acquired companies to the deed of cross guarantee, and tax consolidated groups;➢ Lead the integration of three payroll systems into one payroll system for the Group; and➢ Developed a consolidated Group Finance Board Report and consistent Business Unit Financial Reports.Key responsibilities include managing a finance team to deliver on: Reporting to the CFO I managed a finance function with 27 FTEs with responsibility for:➢ All technical finance related matters, including the Appendix 4D and Appendix 4E;➢ Annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process;➢ Monthly Board and Business Unit Management Reporting for the Group;➢ Managing business unit finance teams including reporting and analysis teams and transaction process teams including Payroll, Credit Control, and Accounts Payable functions;➢ Treasury function including the day to day cash management with ~30 bank accounts, the debt facility, the hedging program and cash flow forecasting;➢ All direct and Indirect taxes for the Group; and➢ Assisted the CFO with company secretary matters.

Santos limited is a large multinational oil and gas exploration and production company. Before the oil price crash of 2015/16, Santos was consistently in the top 25 ASX listed companies based on market capitalisation.Key achievements:➢ Accurately accounted for the business combination with Eastern Star Gas limited, with net assets valued at $924 million dollars, and the subsequent disposal of 30.7% of its assets;➢ Performed and in depth reviews on a number of business unit key processes including identifying over $4m of unclaimed GST and $15m of under called cash from JV parties, successfully recouping all outstanding cash; and➢ Updating all technical accounting processes for the Energy NSW business to align to Santos Accounting Policies, in addition to correcting a number of accounting issues and historical reconciling items.Key responsibilities include managing finance teams to deliver on: ➢ Leading the Business Unit annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process;➢ Monthly financial performance and KPI reporting;➢ All finance related matters, with full accountability for the business unit balance sheet, income statement and cash flow reporting including technical accounting;➢ Business partnering to the business to improve understanding of financial information and drivers facilitating decisions;➢ Joint Venture reporting on monthly expenditure statements and cash calls;➢ Responsible for the periodic technical financial processes, such as impairment reviews, restoration provision assessments, subsidiary financial statements, deferred tax calculations etc.; ➢ Preparation of half-year and year-end Santos Limited Financial Reports, including the appendix 4D and 4E for lodgment with the ASX;➢ Coordinating and providing input into the Financial Report Package submitted to the Audit Committee; and➢ Researching the impact of emerging accounting issues and reporting the potential impacts on Santos financial reporting to the Audit Committee.

Reporting to the financial controller, my key achievements were:➢ Managing the financial reporting of monthly financial statements with relevant supporting schedules, including providing accurate and insightful analysis against forecast and budget and specifically improving senior management and the US parent understanding of the Australian Group’s balance sheet for the numerous restructure projects;➢ Identifying and resolving a material historical financial reporting issues in the inventory area that required listed parent entity’s to disclosure the issue in its NYSE financial statement filing;➢ Leading improvements to the free cash flow forecasting and budgeting, analysis and reporting; ➢ Worked on a number or restructure projects within the company which included assessing the impacts of exiting long term supply contracts, finance leases, hedge contracts and selling vineyards;➢ Managed the preparation of the company and its subsidiary statutory financial statements;➢ Managed the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) implementation project, including writing technical accounting papers for management to support the financial assessments of the implication of newly adopted standards on our financial statements;➢ Managed financial integration of an acquired wine company; and➢ Managed various finance functions up to 13 people, including Financial Accountants, Treasury, Credit Control, Accounts Receivable, Inventory and the Fixed Assets team.

Starting out as a senior financial accountant in the external audit division and promoted to senior finance manager in June 2005, my primary responsibility was planning and managing the external audit of various private and listed companies. Other duties included providing technical accounting advice, preparing board papers and letters to management, performing IFRS impact studies for clients, providing in house accounting and auditing training, managing audit teams, mentoring junior staff members and assisting with business development projects.

Starting out as an accountant in the external audit division and promoted to assistant manager in January 2001, my primary responsibility was planning, performing and managing the external audit of various companies. Other duties included preparing financial statements, providing technical accounting advice, preparing board papers and letters to management and providing in house accounting and auditing training.
