Responsibility for maintaining strategic relationships with Scotland’s leading employer representative groups.

The role involved;Researching and drafting CBI Scotland’s policy responses to Scottish Government consultations and Scottish Parliamentary Committee inquiries. Drafting CBI Scotland press releases and fielding regular calls to comment in the Scottish written press.Networking with senior business people, civil servants and politicians regularly to promote the interests of member firms across a range of devolved policy areas. Representing CBI Scotland on a number of stakeholder groups such as the; Scottish Parliament’s Cross Party Group on Skills, Scottish Parliament’s Cross Party Group on the Economy, SCQF Forum, Strategic Transport Projects Review Reference Group, SQA’s Scottish Baccalaureate Key Partners Group, SQA’s Core Skills Implementation Group, Scottish Government’s ESOL National Panel and Scottish Government’s PACE Partnership Group.Account managing a portfolio of CBI Scotland member companies. Providing secretariat duties for CBI Scotland’s Trade Association Committee, Business Education Coalition and Scottish Council.

Researched and wrote generic management improvement material for the online database of tools.Negotiated with and developed bespoke management improvement material for clients in the public and private sectors.
