Coming from a background of theoretical mathematics, I transitioned to software development in my late 20s and have relished every minute of it. Generally focussed on the various Apple platforms, but am up for any interesting challenge put in front of me.I have spent the last 12 years primarily working around mobile project development, leading many projects from conception through to deployment, including a number with the University of Melbourne. I like to deeply connect with whatever industry I am developing for, and believe that my academic background helps me to learn quickly, and be adaptable to new problem domains. I have a strong ability to work autonomously, but also love working in a great team. In either setting, I believe that trust and connection with stakeholders is crucial to any successful software project, and pride myself on my communication and stakeholder management skills, alongside my development skills.Overall I love all aspects of product design and development from the first discussion of an idea, right through seeing it come to life on the screen. I strive for output of the highest quality, want to build things that make a difference, and aim to make the user feel good about my products, no matter their purpose.
