I recently moved to a new role within Newsquest, working across the Alloa Advertiser, Dunfermline Press, Central Fife Times, Border Telegraph and Peeblesshire News, with an emphasis on planning and design. Still dabble in odd pieces of writing, with some editing, reporter development and photography thrown in.

I am currently working on the Alloa Advertiser, editing the title and managing the team of reporters. I also oversee sister title the Stirling News, and last year I also launched a new music magazine called The Weekender - named after an old publication that used to feature along with the Stirling News and Alloa Advertiser.

Glasgow, United Kingdom

Every so often, I work on the news desk at The Herald. I focus on issues surrounding criminal justice in Scotland, but also work to direction on general news.

I worked on the Kirkintilloch Herald series, contributing stories on crime and criminal justice, politics, education, general human interest, while also helping to drive forward the sport coverage. I also worked across sister titles the Springburn Herald, Bishopbriggs Herald, as well as the Milngavie and Bearsden Herald.

Milngavie

I worked on both the news and sport sections, in the absence of a fellow writer. I then continued to contribute to the paper on a casual basis.

Linlithgow

I worked on the news section of the Gazette, as well as it's sister title the Bo'ness Journal, covering a variety of issues important to the readership. I penned articles on education, politics, crime, human interest stories and causes within the community.

West Of Scotland

I frequently covered weekend football games for the Sunday Mail.

Ayrshire

Deputising for the sports editor, I helped fill the back pages of three separate newspapers in the area -- The Ayr Advertiser; The Ardrossan Herald; and Irvine Times, while occasionally working on the news sections.

I completed the honours course in three years, while working on and off for various publications. I studied a variety of subjects.
