A firm believer in the strength of cross-sector and cross-discipline design, I am really looking forward to re-kindling contacts with many of you, and to delivering some outstanding, highly sustainable projects.My integration into Floyd Slaski is a convincing commercial and cultural fit, broadening an already strong service offering. In my years with ESA architects Floyd Slaski were working in parallel on the Howard de Walden Estate, and between us we have authored 19 projects serving medical, commercial, residential and retail uses – all within Marylebone’s historic fabric and fantastically constrained sites. My built works not only encompass a score of London's West-End commercial and mixed use developments with clients such as The Howard de Walden Estate, Grosvenor and Frogmore Developments, but also a swathe of hands-on, detail-driven fabrications. I am equally at-ease steering a design team toward the best solutions for large developments as I am designing exquisite joinery details. I have worked as a fabricator and machinist, and have built cars, engines, furniture, bicycles, acrylic stairs, snowboard bindings, test rigs and production machinery. These practical skills are equally matched by architectural thought leadership and conceptual clarity - always acknowledging craftsmanship whilst producing convincing designs to negotiate the planning process.As a solution-finder I enjoy challenges and have a dogged determination to pursue what I know to be possible. During my time with Massimiliano Fuksas in Rome, I'm proud to have played a part in projects such as the Nardini grappa distillery (glass ellipsoids) and a suite of Armani stores (bespoke light fixtures and shop fittings). Capita purchased ESA architects in 2012, and whilst for private sector work I maintained the ESA brand, my experience became relevant to Capita's Public Sector opportunities. What better introduction to the Public Sector than as discipline lead on the prestigious Houses of Parliament framework (FWK 1097). A couple of large City projects broke the mould from residential experience. A £50M law-firm fit-out entailed taking responsibility for specialist joinery packages through design and construction phases, with complex services, IT and controls integration, delivered under a management contract and in close collaboration with top-end cabinet-makers.

Predominantly private residential, juggling multiple projects through all stages. Always rewarding to explore the adaptability in design of the handful of recognized Victorian terrace building typologies, and to steer clients through the process. Small works gives one a useful grounding in all roles, including party-wall surveying and contract administration.

SPF: predominantly architectural designers and steelwork fabricators with exciting and diverse portfolio. Typically café spaces within which entrance screens, canopies, bar racking and furniture would all be designed and fabricated in-house.Switch Mfg: Developing first step-in freestyle snowboard binding.
