Allows users to create and maintain jobs and schedule the appropriate consultant to specific jobs. Developed an .NET interface to the Google Maps javascript API so that mapping could be added to this package. Also developed a number of web-controls that cold be used on multiple pages without code duplication.Tasked with developing an updated report generator package to interact with the upgrade to the companies existing TrackRecord auditing report package. Application written in VB.Net (Framework 1.1). Extensive use of separate DLL’s for each module allowing easy upgrade in the future if required. Utilises XML for data transfer along with XSLT for report display. Generates PDF documents using a 3rd party DLL. Interacts with the TrackRecord website through web services, this includes uploading completed reports as well as downloading of report templates and required configuration data. -
ContractorNational Health Service Mar 2004 - May 2005Employed initially on a 6 week contract with Health Protection Scotland, this contract eventually extended to a total of 14 months, ending in May 2005. Initially tasked with updating an existing Access VBA application, it was suggested by myself and accepted that the project be completely reengineered in VB.Net. The application is designed to act as an auditing system/data collection program with the audits being created in a separate designer. Made extensive use of DLL’s to allow easy updating of the system as well as bespoke controls written specifically for the program. Allied to this was the questionnaire design program which allowed the user to create an entire question set, including an extensive non-compliance reporting function. A website was designed to allow the download of the questionnaire tool along with the return of the completed dataset, which was automatically saved to an SQL Database to allow analysis by HPS. -
