HydroWorks specialises in the design and manufacture of state-of-the-art turbines and associated equipment for the hydro-generation industry. They produce innovative and world class turbine designs and have established a track record for delivering quality turnkey solutions for both new and refurbished hydro-generation sites throughout the world.Key to HydroWorks transformation in 2014/2015 was the acquisition and integration of Mace Engineering to become an end-to-end service provider capable of handling all aspects of major hydro projects. Combined with a substantial expansion of it's international business during this period, HydroWorks experienced triple digit growth that underlined its unique proposition in the market and reaffirmed the path to its planned public listing.

A spin out from the Institute of Plant and Food Research in New Zealand, CropLogic has successfully taken a predictive software model developed using leading crop and soil science in the potato industry to international markets around the world. Through its first full year of trading, this early stage start-up was transitioned onto the international stage and is now being used by some of the world's largest potato processors to improve crop yields, enhance quality and to better manage production.

Fulfilling a long held dream, my wife and I took a year out to travel around Australia with our young family. Our adventure circumnavigated the vast continent of Australia. Living under canvas and travelling by 4WD, we were able to explore the most remote of areas and experienced the great diversity of terrain, wildlife and culture that the amazing continent of Australia has to offer.An unforgettable and hugely rewarding experience for us and our children.

Reporting to the National Head of Software Solutions with responsible for the growth and profitable operation of Gen-i's Software Solutions (SWS) business in the South IslandAs well as bespoke software development on the Microsoft and JADE platforms, Gen-i SWS-Southern delivered business intelligence and integration solutions to business across many industries in the region as well as ongoing software support and maintenance under contract to clients throughout New Zealand. SWS-Southern also owned, developed and supported products in Web Content Management, Trainee Management, Insurance and Health in New Zealand and Australia.

Reporting to the Managing Director with responsibility for delivery of the Systems and Architecture of the AvantGard-Quantum product as well as technical support, software build logistics and testing systems support for the Christchurch facility. Additionally from November 2004 and June 2005 I was also responsible for the AvantGard Accounting group including delivery of enhancements and support of the Accounting functionality within the AvantGard-Quantum product as well as leadership of the Accounting group of designers, analysts and engineers including project management.

Reporting to the Managing Director with overall responsibility for Engineering at SunGard Treasury Systems facility in Christchurch including software design and implementation, technical processes, systems and standards. Leadership of 35+ engineers and analysts and a senior member of the Operational Management Team.

Jointly responsible for the development of the Quantum product reporting to the Engineering Manager. Leadership of 15+ engineers, analysts, architects and project managers.

Project Manager for a large outsourced project including vendor liaison through all stages of the project, scheduling, acceptance testing and executive reporting.

General software engineering and development tasks for the Quantum treasury management product using Visual Basic 6, SQL Server, Oracle and Sybase.

Responsible for a variety of engineering projects in the specialist technology department that provided high level engineering and science support to London Underground. The largest of these projects involved the creation of an automated video inspection system for railways. I led the development team and was responsible for the programme from feasibility studies to mechanical design and installation on the rolling stock as well as client contact, sales, marketing and project management.

Involved in a variety of projects providing engineering science support in areas concerning wheel rail related vibrations and noise, lubrication and general engineering. My work included design, construction, experimentation, analysis, report writing and project management.
