Operations Manager And Chief Information OfficerPyromet 2015 - PresentAston, PaI was chosen to serve on the leadership team of a privately-owned, high-quality, ISO-certified, and eco-friendly precious metals industrial manufacturer and refiner with a strong national and international customer base. I supervise 5 direct and 20 indirect reports out a total workforce of 50. My chief responsibility is ensuring the 24/5 operation of critical production systems processing up to 125,000 pounds of material per week and up to 10 million pounds per year. In support of this, I also manage material flows in a 23,000-square-foot warehouse that holds up to 500,000 pounds of materials. I manage employee vacations and time off, oversee facility improvement projects, and direct new equipment purchases and maintenance of current equipment. As CIO, I manage IT network infrastructure upgrades for the entire company, such as new servers and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software. I work autonomously or with minimal supervision, and report to Chief Operating Officer. I routinely communicate directly with the owner, CEO, and COO.Key Highlights► Planned, managed, and delivered highly time-sensitive 5-day project to recoat large industrial wash tanks with zero downtime and no impact on production. Led work crew in working 12-hour shifts over holiday weekend to get this done.► Created a more efficient industrial process that cut the annual cost of a key industrial chemical from $110,000 to $55,000 and increased productivity while halving chemical use.
