• Responsible for the operation of IPG’s UK Financial Shared Service Centre, managing financial transaction processing and controls for IPG’s London based Advertising Agencies. Responsible for team of 50, managed budget of £5m per annum• Led successful implementation of SAP and changed business processes for 6 Advertising agencies • Negotiated Service Level Agreements with Advertising agency clients• Implemented automated Travel and Expense system, linking to Corporate Credit Cards• Re engineered Accounts Payable process, reducing team in number from 23 to 12• Oversaw implementation of ADP payroll system for 1500 staff• Negotiated successful TUPE transfer of staff to rival agency after loss of major client contract• Achieved Sarbanes Oxley compliance for all controls and processes.

• Project managed the successful £15m disposal of under performing feed manufacturing business and setting up £1.2m per annum services outsourcing contract• Spearheaded the successful £6m acquisition of feed ingredients business in Northern Ireland including negotiating earn out mechanism to reduce the risk of low levels of return• Recommended and set up leasing of commercial vehicles arrangement following business disposal to the purchaser of the business, which alleviated funding problems and helped the sale go through.• Recommended not proceeding with business acquisition in Ireland due to market uncertainties and lack of potential synergies.

• Led the finances of a £250M t/o business formed following a business reorganisation, the UK leader in the production and marketing of animal feed to the dairy, beef and sheep sector.• Reported to divisional Managing Director, directly responsible for team of 5 qualified accountants and 12 other staff• Formulated business strategies focussing on increased profitability and reduced risk, such as recommendation to dispose of under performing £60m turnover feed manufacturing division, recommending relocation of manufacturing site into new facility, implementing system to hedge foreign currency transactions of £3m per annum, . • Controlled all aspects of management reporting, KPIs, budgeting and forecasting for division.• Managed a number of staff reorganisations, including a review of all finance staff resulting in a more effective organisation and reduced headcount by 10%, a reorganisation of division’s finance and administration staff, making five staff redundant saving approx. £100k per annum, negotiating early retirement of under performing manager and promoting supervisor to this role. • Managed successful completion of £250k acquisition of small competitor• Lead implementation of IT system change in manufacturing business unit.
