• Managing a staff budget of c£7m and an operational budget of c£7m;
• Restructured and centralised support functions resulting in a cost saving of in excess of £2m (c20% of staff costs) per annum;
• Led the delivery of an Office Strategy, which included large scale rationalisation of office space, implementation of ‘agile working’ tools for all staff and operational cost savings of in excess of £4m per annum;
• Development and implementation of a procurement strategy with targeted savings of c£3m over a three year period;
• Working closely with senior finance colleagues to continually improve financial processes and controls across a number of areas and received ‘green light’ internal audit reports for Accounts Payable, Payroll.

• Won Circle Housing’s Leader of the Year Award for my achievements during the 2013/14 financial year;
• Delivered a project to transform the purchasing behaviours of colleagues, resulting in an increase in purchasing compliance from 13% to 80%;
• Responsible for successfully overseeing the delivery of a new ‘Target Operating Model’ for Circle Information Systems and Technology Team as part of the Groups transformation programme; Fast Forward Circle;
• Oversaw the delivery of a service charge income optimisation strategy which has increased service charge income by c£250k;
• Instrumental in designing and implementing changes to the Group’s repairs and maintenance payments process, which helped mitigate operational risks associated with service delivery;

• Following an ‘External Quality Assessment’ of Circle’s audit practices by the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors, achieved a ‘full conformance’ with Code of Ethics and International Standards. This is the best.
• Nominated as Vice-Chair of the Housing Internal Audit Forum, the sectors leading forum for good practice in internal audit, and used my position to influence how audit was delivered across the sector;
• Featured in ‘Audit and Risk’ magazine, the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditor’s monthly publication, to discuss my views on internal audit best practice in the housing sector. This resulted in positive publicity.
