SKA Rating, the environmental assessment methodology and benchmarking tool that helps deliver sustainable fit-outs. SKA Rating Ltd is a not-for-profit business and I am proud to support the SKA vision as a Volunteer Director.

The Taskforce will be a three-year project led by the City of London Corporation to boost the supply of skilled workers for sustainable buildings. It will bring together employers, training providers and industry bodies from across the commercial built environment sector, as well as national and local government.The Taskforce has three key focus areas:Building the evidence base on the planning pipeline, skills gaps, qualifications gaps, identifying barriers to action, and the business case for investing in green skillsDelivering impactful interventions which directly address the issues raised in the evidence piece. This may involve career and qualification pathways, unlocking financing for upskilling, planning policy, procurement rules etc.Delivering an industry engagement campaign to promote reskilling and upskilling among the existing workforce, and raising career awareness amongst Londoners, including those from underrepresented backgrounds.

Providing a powerful voice for the woodworking sector and a valuable service to our growing community of (over 700) member companies. Our community includes staircase, window, furniture and door manufacturers, heritage craft companies and joinery contractors.
