Sound artist and lecturer (professor adjunto) in the Departamento de Artes Cênicas (CEN) of the Universidade de Brasília (UnB) in the area of voice and performance, administering the subjects: Voz em Performance and Voz e Palavra na Performance Teatral Contemporânea 1. Holds a Doctorate in Creative Arts from the University of Wollongong, Australia (2010) entitled Sound Installation and Self-listening and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) from the University of Queensland (1986), in addition to a Graduate Diploma in Music Technology from La Trobe University, Melbourne (1990). Was a Visiting Professor in the Departamento de Música of UnB for four years until 2012 administering, over the course of that period, the subjects: Elementos da Linguagem, Estética e História da Arte (ELEHA3), Acústica Musical 1, Teoria e Prática de Gravação 1 and Composição 1, 2, 3 e 7. Active as an artist since 1990 specialising in the fields of sound art, installation and music technology. He has exhibited installations in Australia, Austria, China, Spain, the Netherlands and Brazil. Participates as a supervisor of the Laboratório de Performance e Teatro do Vazio (LPTV), research and extension group of the Instituto de Artes (IDA) of UnB, linked to the Decanato de Extensão (DEX) and CEN, coordinated by Prof. Dr. Simone Reis. His most recent installation O Espelho, made in collaboration with Simone Reis, was presented at the Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil (CCBB), Brasília in the second half of 2012.
