• Delivers the business strategy through owning and leading the prioritisation process, setting the resource and schedule of deliverables across all functions • Responsible for leading the innovation team, setting team strategy, performance and deliverables. The team is subdivided into the project office and product team• Has overall ownership and accountability for overseeing in flight and ‘post project’ Innovation deliverables supporting the delivery of the original business benefit• Upskill the team. In February 2017, a presentation was delivered at the IMRG Fashion Connect Conference - 'Using innovation in cross-border Fashion delivery to push retailers ahead of the pack'​• Directly lead the delivery of numerous complex, cross functional revenue and cost saving initiatives. Examples to include savings of over 30,000 per month into a key Asian lane and a big-name brand out of the US in to the EU via two injection points which gave access to over 4,000 parcels a day and a million in revenue

• Lead the team of product specialists, aligning with the wider innovation team strategy and objectives• Promote, support and grow our international marketplace solution. This meant forging new relationship with integrators and marketplaces (such as Lazada or Mercado Libre) as well as building on existing ones (TMALL, JD). In March to August 2016, this delivered around 40,000 parcels and roughly £220,000 in revenue• Refresh and implement our global delivery roadmap. Focus was put onto three continents, South America, Africa and South East Asia to support the delivery of over 110,000 additional parcels per annum• Research and evaluate integration opportunities for middle mile services globally that could plug into our existing products. Examples here could be integration of online payment solutions such as WorldPay or service providers such as Simply Duty • Support the sales and account management team with prospective and current retailers on our innovations and markets• Promote the value of innovation across the business

• Lead the delivery of a radical new operating model that satisfied the requirements of our international growth plans to avoid the need to invest heavily in a local processing centre. This six month programme of work allowed retailers to be on-boarded from China, South Korea, Israel and Turkey. This drove over 65,000 additional parcels and £500,000 in revenue• Own the set up of non-UK processing centres and transition these into BAU where investment is cost effective. This included two hubs in China, one in Australia and one in France• Create a management control and reporting system (MCRS) to make our international teams more efficient and effective at managing and reporting operational and sales metrics • Manage operational performance of our non-UK retailers end to end (on transit time, end scan compliance, and successful first time deliveries) so that SLA’s are met• Manage our partners/ suppliers for collection, processing, line haul and last mile delivery via our UK based carrier team• Design and Implement a new structure and process for on boarding non-UK retailers• Determine and set priorities together with sales to shorten overall implementation time via synergies with the UK based implementation team

• Responsible for the end to end delivery of the JohnLewis.com Implementation Command and Control Centre (War Room), providing the delivery mechanism for the launch of the new replacement John Lewis Website. • Consolidated requirements from technical resources and operational teams and verified these against the objectives of the War Room• Designed and planned the War Room delivery, ensuring that the design met the requirements and delivered a fit for purpose solution. • Managed the delivery of the facilities, logistics, IT kit, set-up and shakedown of the entire War Room configuration.• Managed complex support rota's covering 24 hour support over a prolonged period, encompassing over 100 different resources and more that 30 onsite teams. • Responsible for the negotiations with 20 3rd party organisations to provide 24 hour support cover, at favourable rates, during the website implementation period. • Assisted in the delivery of cutover rehearsals, ensuring that environments were delivered, code deployments were available and resources were in place to ensure a successful rehearsal delivery.

The project delivered three new delivery services on JohnLewis.com. • Managed the project end to end lifecycle, including the determination of the business requirements, development, testing and implementation• Delivered new Click and Collect delivery services to John Lewis and Waitrose branches UK wide. After delivery Click & Collect sales have grown around 75% and have become the primary delivery method for online customers, accounting for around 30% of all JL.com orders. • Responsible for the management of project budgets, ensuring that the offshore and onshore resource costs were accounted for and managed against planned budget.
