My career within Asurion has spanned multiple roles including SQL Database Administrator, IT Operations manager and Relationship Manager. I've managed Operations teams covering Database, Systems, Network, Storage, and Security Engineers both domestically and abroad. I have worked as part of a diverse technology team to create solutions for our internal customers internationally.My career has taken me to multiple countries to work with support teams and assist with project launches including India, Philippines, Japan and Australia. I have worked in our Japan offices for more than 2 years, working with diverse cultural and technological backgrounds. As a Relationship Manager, I traveled routinely between Asia and the US to help improve our global support model within IT Operations. As part of that effort, I regularly reported to senior leaders and C-level executives regarding the progress of our overall readiness and improvement opportunities.Currently I'm working as Asurion's Director of Cloud Services after having worked as part of two Squad/Journey Teams to implement our vision of 'DevOps'. I continue to focus on DevOps and working in a less traditional role, based on building, maintaining and leveraging relationships throughout the organization, at all levels.In my role, I am charged with reducing the barriers between the traditional Operations and Development organizations in order to accelerate deployment, improve stability, etc. Simultaneously, we must maintain the appropriate controls - financial and security - to protect our company and investment in public cloud technologies.
