As the Director of Software at Service Express, Andrew oversaw the complete restructuring of the Service Express software platforms. Starting with legacy systems in a combination of languages (PHP, Classic ASP, ASP.Net, NODE.js, GOLANG, and others) spread across a variety of environments (locally hosted, AZURE-hosted, AWS-hosted), Andrew led the team and the initiatives to completely re-platform the Service Express software solutions. Using the SAFe Agile framework as a guide, Andrew introduced test-driven development and build out the CICD pipelines necessary to ensure a robust, scalable, and supportable platform designed for scale. Working with a distributed, global team, Andrew actively eliminated technical debt, architected scalable solutions, and transformed the software future of Service Express.

As Practice Manager of OST’s Application Development teams, Andrew led efforts to define and implement a digital roadmap, including work to successfully scale OST’s Application Development practices and to build out the vision, mission, and objectives as consultant leaders in the digital transformation space. Andrew spent several years managing delivery of a multimillion-dollar portfolio of work, directing the efforts of nearly a hundred software developers and managers across all levels of experience and performance (at nearly 100% employee satisfaction). Additionally, Andrew applied his skills to the evolution of OST’s employee development efforts, including investment in OST’s AppDev internship program, and OST’s handbook on employee culture –The OST Way.

Andrew was the Architect behind Meijer's Digital Loyalty initiative (mPerks) and oversaw the implementation and deployment of that framework across all retail stores. He architected and managed the construction, the hiring, and the build-out of development teams, as well as the creation of a mobile strategy and the development and deployment of that strategy. In his role, he managed the day-to-day operations of a twenty-two-member team and expanded the organization to include offshore team members and contract partners in support of a simultaneous, multi-platform development strategy. Andrew was personally responsible for the IT digital loyalty strategy, and brought the organization nearly 1000% user growth, year-over-year, across four concurrent years managing Meijer’s loyalty systems.

As Director of People at 2G TechWorks, Andrew managed a team of more than two dozen employees, providing them with vision, mission, strategy and guidance as the business worked to define and refine their digital footprint. Defining and guiding the culture, Andrew helped to deliver triple-digit year-over-year growth for eight years, as he put in place the frameworks for a scalable, profitable, and people-first and self-sustaining organization. Working with his co-owners, in 2009 Andrew led valuations and negotiations culminating in the sale of the company to a local competitor at nearly seven times EBITDA value.

As IRN's Vice President of Software Development, Andrew designed, developed, and implemented a subscription-based web-delivered automotive information system. Andrew assembled and led the team who built IRN's framework for real-time web-based data delivery. While at IRN, Andrew also managed the design and development of desktop and web-based applications using Microsoft tools and SQL server to deliver a data-based family of software products to a subscriber base of nearly 1,000 users. Andrew supervised and mentored a staff including a team of full-time developers and a full-time systems administrator. Andrew consulted with multiple clients on information technology and manufacturing issues to assist with issues including database exchange, niche software solutions, data porting, data replication, database management, system support, information technology support, information technology strategic planning and more.

As Director of Software development, Andrew was responsible for the design and direction of all software development efforts, both internal software development projects and the management of external (contract) development projects. Andrew managed the growth of software sales, doubling the division's net profit (in excess of a million dollars) in a period of two years. Additionally, Andrew supervised a staff including both employees and contractors, managing multiple simultaneous software development projects as well as taking responsibility for product design, customer support, documentation, testing, and more. Andrew also participated in the design and development of Baudville's software solutions, including personally designing, prototyping, testing and serving as lead engineer for the firm’s cornerstone software product, AwardMaker.
