USG PMW-740 contracted Senior Field Service Technician (FST) deployed, working with, and advising all Taiwan Military Forces on Joint TDL networks and associated equipment to clear Tier 3 Trouble Tickets at the Taipei, Taiwan ICEF HQ Help Desk.Travels to various cities, small towns, shipyards, remote islands and mountains throughout Taiwan and the Taiwan strait to test, troubleshoot, repair, and install tactical data link equipment. Troubleshoots all LVT variants, JTIDS, MIDS-On-Ship, and HF BLOS Data Terminal Sets (Link 16/ Link 11) including checking cable and antenna faults with a site master Vector Network Analyzer and MIDS troubleshooting software such as DST and LEGS.Interfaces with CDLMS (C2P), MDLMS (ADSI), CDS, GCCS and other Taiwan-specific systems. Works on Cheng Kung-class Guided Missile Destroyers/Frigates and vehicle units.Utilizes test equipment to include, but not limited to, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, voltmeters, site masters, power analyzers and multi meters combined with blueprints, schematics, tech manuals, tech bulletins, troubleshooting techniques and other specifications to identify, evaluate, correct and repair communication deficiencies across multiple systems within the Taiwan Syun An program. Works closely with the USG PMW 740 training team on writing lesson plans, training guides, and multimedia PowerPoint slides and verifies training steps for training delivered to the Taiwan Armed Forces.Provides OJT to Taiwan Technicians.Provides updates on equipment status and OJT to US and Taiwan Engineers on a weekly basis.
