About Byron Brooks
I previously worked for the Department of Defense & the U.S. Department of State as a government contractor specializing in high-threat environments. The majority of my experience was spent supervising government projects and instructing personnel for overseas projects including U.S. Embassy security positions and other various high threat environment positions.After recognizing that my young son was getting proficient with computer hugs via Skype, my priorities shifted and I returned home to take on the roll of full-time husband and father. I am currently involved in fostering collaborative environments, mentoring startups, and championing initiatives that uplift and empower others, while at the same time serving in an elected role on the Nevada System of Higher Education Board of Regents.
