My purpose is to bring connection and community to people who have felt unworthy and alone. I am an author, storyteller, speaker, and higher education professional with a background shaped by overcoming significant personal challenges. My journey has fueled my deep commitment to community and economic development. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Morris College and a Master's degree in Public Administration, specializing in Community and Economic Development, from Clark Atlanta University—both esteemed Historically Black Colleges and Universities.My debut novel, Drawing the Sky: A Collection of Stories About God, Family, Sex, and Love, reflects my journey and the themes I passionately advocate for, such as faith, resilience, and love. In my professional career, I currently serve as an Entrepreneurial Program Specialist at the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.I have also deemed myself the 'I Aint Perfect Guru,' a title born from the life trials that taught me that perfect is overrated. My strengths lie in strategy and relationship building because I believe that through learning and staying connected to others, we tap into the true power of being human.
