The Iron Yard Academy is an intensive 12-week coding experience that goes far beyond tactical skills and teaches students to think like software engineers. As a member of the Ruby on Rails cohort, I learned how to build rock-solid servers, manage databases and master the fundamentals of front end app development. Specifically, I was responsible for learning TDD, API's, jQuery, Backbone, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Foundation, Javascript, CoffeeScript, JSON/AJAX, and deployment.

I oversee the development and implementation of Walton's online fundraising strategy as part of a system-wide effort to increase funding from new donor sources. I also supervise the creation and distribution of marketing materials for the hospital and all of its corporate entities. My administrative responsibilities include arranging meetings, appointments, conference calls, and interviews. I also provide coordination for Board and sub committees, schedule facilities, and prepare monthly board packets.

I assist the CBICS department in gathering information on potential partners and competitors; coordinating proposal development; writing, editing, and reviewing various sections of technical and cost proposals; maintaining sector capacity statements and past performances references; and providing training materials and workshops to improve Country Office capacity in these areas.

The Archway Partnership connects counties facing significant issues related to economic development to the knowledge, expertise and other resources at the University of Georgia. The community determines the needs and Archway facilitates identification of faculty and students with expertise and similar interest.
