🗣 Most people hammer theory in like we are robots able to hear/repeat/learn... Whereas you tell a story, in a way, and bring us to a place where we understand the need for a concept. Then you deconstruct the concept, and reintroduce it with all of that context... And that makes it easier to learn. —Paul Hitchmough🗣 "I have not seen a day that Dave isn’t pushing his understanding of his work as the way we build for the web is constantly shifting." —Jesse Kernaghan

HTML, (S)CSS, JS, StorybookJS, React, NextJS, Vite, and the list keeps growing.Have felt truly honoured to work with such brands and companies as Apple, Pokémon, Blue Shield of California, TD Bank, Bitvo, and many others.⧐ UI/Front-end Developer :: I started in design over 20 years ago, but soon found I was just as skillful writing code as I was discussing fonts and layout. I use both skills daily to inform best practices.⧐ Node and React :: I don't title myself "full-stack", but I am quite comfortable working in Node, MongoDB, and their surrounding ecosystems. Been exploring Docker and serverless functions in detail recently, and React is like a trusted friend.⧐ Workflow :: Craftsmanship requires a deep knowledge and solid workbench. I'm always learning and always sharping my tools. I've made Storybook my tool of choice for building front-end, consumable components in many popular languages and frameworks (React, VueJS, Twig, Handlebars, EJS, etc. Looking forward to trying my hand at Svelte soon).⧐ CSS3 :: It seems odd to list this as its own thing until you start to look through my recent work. Using advanced CSS, I'm able to style things for the web… and for print! It's become my preferred way of styling general business documents.
Listed skills include Web Development, Web Design, Html, User Experience, and 39 others.
