As a Media In-charge at the Indian Red Cross Society, Karnataka State Branch from April 2019 to October 2022, my roles and responsibilities included:• Timely preparation and response to all internal and external requests for press releases, press conferences, and information related to the organization. • Strategic planning and execution of social media campaigns, virtual meetings, and events to enhance the organization's visibility and reach. • Creation of various content, such as presentations, speeches, reports, and articles, for marketing, meetings, events, and organizational development purposes. • Comprehensive management and maintenance of the Indian Red Cross Society's presence on social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn, as well as updating the organization's website.• Introduction of a fortnightly communique to showcase the relief activities of Youth Red Cross volunteers, district, and taluka branches throughout the state, particularly during the COVID-19 outbreak.• Documentation and publication of a special three-year activities report (2019-2022), which received positive feedback from the Karnataka Red Cross Community. • Redesign and improvement of the Red Cross Karnataka website (redcrosskarnataka.org), enhancing user experience and accessibility.

As a Youth Red Cross Coordinator at the Indian Red Cross Society, Karnataka State Branch from August 2017 to October 2022, my roles and responsibilities included:• Establishing and maintaining relationships with Youth Red Cross Units in 2200 colleges across 34 different universities in Karnataka State, working closely with 31 Youth Red Cross district coordinators to strengthen their capacity and Youth Red Cross units at all levels, ensuring successful execution of activities mandated by the Department of Higher Education, Govt. of Karnataka. • Developing, maintaining, and expanding the use of digital assets, platforms, and tools to facilitate effective alignment, peer-to-peer learning, and promotion of Youth Red Cross and volunteer activities, sharing success stories across the nation and globally. • Collaborating with government departments, educational institutions, IRCS district/taluka branches, and universities to design training modules, oversee the development and implementation of internship programs, and assign interns to various departments and district branches for hands-on experience. • Initiating the development of a management information system (MIS) at the university level to monitor and evaluate Youth Red Cross activities in the state. This included a live virtual dashboard to track project activities conducted under the banner of Youth Red Cross at each college level. The MIS system is currently being piloted at Mangalore University in Karnataka. • Contributing to the planning, organization, monitoring, and coordination of youth engagement activities in the areas of disaster risk reduction (DRR), first aid, climate change, environmental sustainability, and personality development components at over 2200 academic institutions under 34 different universities in Karnataka State.

Mysuru Area, India

As an Honorary Director at Clean Mysore Foundation (CMF), which originated as a WhatsApp group and later registered as an organization, my key responsibilities include:• Environmental Advocacy: Striving to create a cleaner and greener environment by raising awareness about climate change, protecting water resources, managing waste, improving greenery, and promoting rainwater harvesting.• Community Engagement: Organized unique mass awareness drives to address littering, food waste, and the negative impact of plastic use. Conducted plastic-free roadshows and launched the "Swachhata Ambari" vehicle to spread awareness across Mysuru city about citizen participation and responsibilities in maintaining cleanliness.• Event Management: Successfully planned and executed a large-scale seed ball culturing event on May 28, 2017, as part of the Green Chamundi Abiyana initiative. This event, held at the foothills of Chamundi Hills, saw the participation of over 500 individuals from various groups and organizations, who together created more than 70,000 seed balls to enhance the greenery of Chamundi Hills in Mysuru.• Stakeholder Collaboration: Worked closely with diverse groups, organizations, and citizens to ensure collective efforts toward environmental conservation and sustainability.• Project Coordination: Oversaw various projects and initiatives, ensuring their successful implementation and positive impact on the community and the environment.• Communication Skills: Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills, facilitating clear and effective communication with various stakeholders at all levels.

Bagalkot Area, India

During my tenure as a UNICEF-Supported Disaster Risk Reduction Consultant from August 27 to November 30, 2019, at the Commissioner's Office in Bagalkote District, I was deployed through the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Center (KSNDMC), Revenue Department (Disaster Management), and the Government of Karnataka to facilitate emergency response during the North Karnataka Floods in 2019. My key responsibilities included:• Rapid Needs Assessment: Collaborated with the District Disaster Management Authority to conduct a Rapid Needs Assessment and develop Relief and Recovery plans.• Volunteer Mobilization: Initiated and sustained volunteer mobilization and response chain mechanisms, ensuring an effective and timely response to the disaster.• Monitoring and Review: Supported the establishment of monitoring and review mechanisms for relief and rehabilitation work, ensuring transparency and efficiency.• Social Sector Recovery: Assisted the district administration in the preparation of a comprehensive social sector recovery plan, addressing various aspects of the affected communities' needs.• Logistics Support: Contributed to the development of a logistic chain mechanism for the distribution of relief materials in flood-affected districts.• Stakeholder Coordination: Engaged in advocacy, capacity building, risk communication, community engagement, social mobilization, inter- and intra-departmental coordination, partner management, and social and behavioral change communication in the health, nutrition, and WASH domains.• Meeting Organization: Supported the organization and facilitation of District Disaster Management Authority meetings and other stakeholder gatherings, including CSRs, CSOs, NGOs, CBOs, academic institutions, and professional bodies, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Additionally, I was responsible for documenting and disseminating meeting minutes.
