Dr. Smith is a nationally renowned medical expert with extensive knowledge of and clinical experience diagnosing and treating alcohol, controlled substance use, and related disorders. As a fully qualified and trained Substance Abuse Professional (SAP), mandated under the United States Department of Transportation regulations, Dr. Smith holds numerous licenses and certifications with reciprocity from national and international consortiums. Through his many contacts and a broad range of experience, working independently to service the Commonwealth of Virginia, Dr. Smith maintains close professional relations with service providers, including The Medical Group Management Association, The National Association of Addiction Counselors and the Virginia Association of Addiction Professionals.
