As own staff I get broad tasks of nuclear waste management engineering in field of dismantling of NPP Grafenrheinfeld. The most important are:• (2024 - ongoing) Next projects of dismantling are currently underway: - BioShield - Steam generator's - “historical” high radioactive operational waste • (2023 - 2024) Project of dismantling of reactor pressure vessel - done in June 2024. Main tasks: - Sub Project Leader, responsible for disposal and nuclear waste management - Technical expertise in activation calculations, packaging and disposal of radioactive waste - Evaluation of the sampling results• (2021 - 2022) Project of disassembly and disposal of reactor pressure vessels internals: - Sub Project Leader, responsible for disposal and nuclear waste management - Technical expertise in activation calculations, packaging and disposal of radioactive waste - Evaluation of the sampling results• (2018 - 2020) CASTOR®-Project (Relocation of spent fuel assemblies (SNF) from wet storage in dry interim storage via CASTOR® container): - Since 15.01.2020 until end of 2020 Project Leader. The first step to relocate of all SNF assemblies and the second step to move the last remaining nuclear fuel (dameged rods) into the dry interim storage via CASTOR® container were achieved successful and on schedule. Thus the power plant is now nuclear fuel free. - Quality control and check of preloading documentation - Technical expertise, responsibility of correspondence and discussions with authorities and external suppliers

The main task (at the NPP Grafenrheinfel) is preparation of documentations for the on-site sub-projects of dismantling and storage of activated high-level radioactive waste (core components) and SNF. This includes comprehensive knowledge of reactor physics using Monte Carlo (MCNP and SCALE/MAVRIC) calculations of burn-up, shielding, activation etc. Here are projects I accompanied:• CASTOR®-Project (Relocation of spent fuel assemblies from wet storage in dry interim storage via CASTOR® container): - Supporting and implementation of a DCVD measurements from EURATOM/IAEA - Quality control and check of preloading documentation - Technical expertise, responsibility of correspondence and discussions with authorities and external suppliers• Project of disassembly and packaging of irradiated control rods and another core scraps: - Technical expertise, responsibility of correspondence and discussions with authorities and external suppliers
