Line Service Technician
CurrentPrioritizing safety above all, rain or shine, I deliver comprehensive aircraft services including marshaling, towing aircraft, fueling, and essential item delivery. I liaise with pilots, tenants, and passengers, ensuring smooth operations and safe departures. I use clear communication skills to receive instructions, fuel orders and flight crew needs, and confirm details needed to provide service quickly and efficiently. Flexible and detail-oriented, I maintain aircraft readiness, handle paperwork, and secure facilities at the end of each shift. As part of a charter team, I marshal large aircraft, handle luggage and cargo, operate belt-loaders, flight stairs, tugs and fuel trucks, and liaise with flight crew and group organizers for chartered flights for teams, bands, and military personnel. And, if I am able, I'm happy to give pilots a ride to the hotel or drive passengers to the main terminal to pick up a rental car if needed. Also an Aircraft Fueler, I perform critical fueling operations on aircraft ranging in size from CRJ145 regional carriers to Boeing A320 cargo jets to ensure safe and efficient refueling. This includes staying up to date on all training for each airline and their various systems, operating fueling equipment, adhering to strict safety protocols and regulations, and accurately recording fuel transactions. I collaborate closely with flight crews, ground personnel, and my invaluable CSRs at the FBO to facilitate accurate fuelings and on-time departures. When inclement weather strikes, I step-up my efforts to handle call-backs for uplifts and also provide service to additional flights that arrive off-schedule due to alternate routes and diversions. Applying stress management and logistics management, I adapt to these changing conditions to provide a higher volume of service while staying laser-focused on safety and unfailing on-time departures. Through awesomeness and hard work I contribute to the overall success of our airline fueling operation.
