I am a 3x Emmy® Award nominated producer and editor. I gravitate towards stories exploring the interplay between identity, humanity, and humor and I strive to make an impact through challenging perspectives and promoting critical thought. With a background in documentary film and branded content, I have experience with every stage of production including concept and style guide development, storyboarding, creating shoot schedules, lighting, interviewing, camera, basic sound recording, non-linear editing, color correction and color grading. I am a freelancer and the Digital Media Producer at MetroEast Community Media where I work with a range of community partners to develop digital content and teach workshops. A documentary I directed and edited called FOLLOW THE WATER was screened at the Portland EcoFilm Festival and received the "Best Oregon Film" award at the Oregon Documentary Film Festival. Currently I am working on launching a docuseries I directed and edited called FOOD FORAY through MetroEast Community Media. Check it out! https://metroeast.org/food-foray/One of my biggest accomplishments to date includes directing, shooting, producing and editing a feature length documentary about my return to Bosnia & Herzegovina for the first time since fleeing war alongside my creative partner and best friend Adrian Hopffgarten. Our film, FINDING BOSNIA, screened at film festivals worldwide including the Sarajevo Film Festival where it had its world premier. In the last few years, I have become more involved in narrative film production. I have had experience in the camera department as a 2nd AC and AC and in the production department as AD and Production Coordinator. I recently worked as an AC for a music film featuring Storm Large and as the Assistant Director for a covid safety video campaign for the Portland Bureau of Transportation. In 2020 I was the Oregon Dance Film Commission grant recipient which gave me the opportunity to direct my first dance film, HARBOR, which premiered at the Portland Dance Film Festival.
