I hold a Master of Science in Education with a focus on Educational Leadership and Administration, and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. With over a decade of experience in education and leadership, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to any professional setting.Currently, I am a Corporate Trainer at Infinity, Inc. Previously, I served as a Supervisor/Trainer at SmartScripts Pharmacy, where I collaborated with the Customer Care team to educate and assist customers with their medication needs. I also trained and mentored team members, including new hires, across various functions.My teaching career includes serving as a Spanish educator for grades 7-12 at Columbus Community Schools. During this time, I contributed to the Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports team and the building leadership team. Concurrently, I gained experience in retail and customer service at Gap Inc. Prior to this, I was an educator at Davenport Community Schools, where I played a pivotal role in realigning the curriculum to the Common Core standards and preparing students for the Iowa Assessments. As a mentor teacher at Jefferson Elementary, I supervised a diverse staff and over 200 students, and coordinated various initiatives that demonstrated my commitment to leadership and mentoring.In addition to my teaching roles, I served two years as the President of the Columbus Education Association and five years as an executive board member of the Davenport Education Association. These positions have honed my skills in site planning and leadership.My key strengths include collaborative leadership, strategic planning, empowering colleagues, independent academic program development in technology, science, and math, and leading community and pedagogical programs. I excel in fostering strong relationships with local and national communities and integrating initiatives that align with an organization's mission and vision.
