As a storyteller, here’s a short story (Teaser: it’s about me) After having the opportunity to be in a commercial for the National Education Association in 7th grade and seeing everything that went on behind the scenes on set, I was drawn to the organized chaos and medium of storytelling. From then on, I was determined to work in the entertainment industry. After college, I landed an internship at a production company. I started working my way up the ladder, fetching coffees, and flexing my ability to easily interact with production executives. As I proved myself adaptable, I was tasked with casting a new docu-series and quickly found my niche speaking with all types of people. As a Casting Director, I gained a strong storytelling ability and learned to make complicated concepts accessible and engaging in three minutes or less. I interviewed everyone from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills to blue-collar workers on Undercover Boss (Emmy Award), all with the goal of creating stories that evoked emotion from audiences.Although I loved finding talent, a desire for new challenges brought me to production, where I:- Worked on dozens of different shows over the course of 10 years and won awards for “Undercover Boss” (2x Emmy),( “Are You The One ” (GLAAD Award), and nominated for others; “Let’s Make a Deal” (Emmy)- Navigated difficult scenarios, high profile talent and locations, and thrived in fast-paced environments while acting as a direct liaison to talent such as Britney Spears, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Neil Patrick Harris, Nicole Scherzinger, Joe Jonas, and Wayne Brady.- Honed my negotiation skills, once acquiring $2M in luxury cars at no cost to production.After losing my mother to breast cancer in 2013, I learned to make every day count, which is why I bring a positive attitude and strong work ethic with me every day, wherever I go. Other than my passion for storytelling, it is my love for people I consider to be my driving force in work and in life.
