Responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight for the revenue integrity operations for Jacobi & North Central Bronx Hospitals. In my role, I oversee all charge capture and revenue integrity activities including, but not limited to regulatory compliance audits, charge integrity assessments, charge description master reviews, mitigate revenue leakage and identify opportunities for revenue growth. Work closely with senior leaders across H+H to implement strategies to improve access, increase insurance enrollment, increase revenue, reduce self-pay rates, reduce patient wait times, and improve patient satisfaction. Responsible for identifying areas of improvement as it relates to registration, insurance eligibility, enrollment and other patient access related initiatives & work closely with H+H facilities from conception to implementation.

Responsible for managing and overseeing the daily activities of both the Women’s Health and Immunotherapy clinics. Supervised a staff of 8 (combination of managers and support staff) & ensuring that all tasks were carried out effectively. Made sure that staff adhered to all NYC Health & Hospitals policies & operating procedures as well as all State and Federal health care regulations. Evaluated staff performance, completed annual performance evaluations and counseled employees on performance when necessary. Resolved staff/patient conflicts. Collaborated with other clinical and administrative leadership to identify improvement needs, develop project timelines, establish implementations, and review metric outcomes such as service volume, patient satisfaction scores, clinical quality, & revenue. Worked collaboratively with Department Chiefs, Nursing, and Clinic staff to streamline processes, perform root cause analysis, and create sustainable solutions in their respective areas. Trained & mentored staff to use data-driven process improvement concepts, tools, & methods.Achievements:Reduced the patient wait-time to see a physician in the Immunology Clinic from 57 minutes to 24 minutes by eliminating waste from the process and implementing standard work for daily clinic operations.Reduced the new pre-natal patient visit time from 364 minutes to 90 minutes in theWomen’s Health clinic by streamlining processes and the implementation of standard work.Conduct regular assessment of functional areas to ensure sustainability of process improvements.
