Transformation and project management of the financial close processes for Group and Divisional entities.Achievements: Close transformation: Owned the development and maintenance of Oracle Financial Close Manager (FCM) application and associated schedules, utilizing the tools to revamp the Group and Divisional Quarterly/Monthly Close processes. These improvements saved the offshore support team over a day a week by simplifying workbooks and removing redundancies, as well as eliminating recurring internal controls failures. User experience: Developed new process documentation and delivered various means of training to the global user base, which led to a significant reduction in support requests.  Controls successes: Eliminated internal control failures by; building a governance framework around Group Finance's User Developed Applications (UDAs), collaborating with IT security to map out a secure folder access framework, and conducting ad-hoc reviews of the Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) application and associated Smart View Excel workbooks to ensure compliance. Revolutionized Digital Closes: Transformed divisional financial close processes from Excel to Oracle FCM. Enhancing visibility of the status of steps enabled redirection/refocus of efforts ensuring hard deadlines to deliver final reports were never missed.  Team building: Instigated and led the Social Committee, coordinating events to reinvigorate and galvanize the team.

My role was to stand up and embed this new service before handing over to a newly hired Manager to own going forward.
