I am currently curating and leading a project called Ode to the Ancestors, an international photographic exhibition with music and film that celebrates the black contribution to archaeology and conversation in Kenya.Working in partnership with National Museums of Kenya and Horniman Museum and gardens, we have digitised archive images of black heritage.

Exploring my African heritage in a music project ignited a fire in me to not just tell my story through music, but utilise the medium of visuals to explore black identity. I am currently developing 2 documentaries that explore the erasure of African history. Having been previously mentored by We Are Parable and the New Black Film Collective, I am looking.

My part-time job at Waltham Forest ensures that young people are involved at every level of service delivery. I'm passionate about supporting young people from marginalised backgrounds to fulfil their potential and involving them in consultation is a fantastic way to broaden their horizons, prepare them for the workplace and get them into senior level.

Of all the many roles I juggle, music is my first love and chiefest inspiration. I sing, write songs, play piano and compose music for film. Career highlights include:- Composing music for my latest project Ode to the Ancestors, which is supported by Arts Council, British Council and Help Musicians.- Composing the music to Remember Who You Are, a short.
