Hi I’m Shivam Kapoor and I’m glad to meet you.Growing up, I was only exposed to one career and wanted to join the same. "Armed forces".So I started preparing early, I also enrolled myself in NCC and got C Certificate with highest grade and started writing UPSC Exams, got myself into Interviews But Destiny had different plans and I landed my first Job in one of the BIG4 consulting firms "Deloitte" where I started my career in Data Engineering and Analytics Domain.Getting into IT seemed like a mismatch at first but soon I saw the opportunity it presented to me, skills like work ethic, time management, adaptability and Never give up attitude which got inculcated in my personality helped me a lot in making myself a versatile working professional. I always found myself implementing the same principles of collaboration and camaraderie while working on my work assignments. I could pick up all kinds of technical and functional concepts because of having worked upon on my analytical thinking.I picked up cloud technologies like Snowflake, Azure Databricks, AWS and programming languages like Python, Pyspark and SQL as they were part of my daily assignments. I also got AWS CCP certification within first 6 months of working on AWS.As I was working with people from all around the world,I and my counterparts noticed though I was performing very well in my technical assignments I was outshining whenever I was involved in activities like Client demonstrations, Business communications and collaborations with Stakeholders which sparked my interest in Product and management.So I transitioned to Business analyst where I had to pick up new tools like Jira , Microsoft 360 and Power BI. I felt my exposure and experience in Technical space was a blessing for this transition. I am someone who possesses both functional and technical capabilities with almost 3 years of consulting experience in Telecommunications and Insurance Industry. In my free time I read books and newsletters on AI and startups to keep myself updated with this ever evolving tech world and I love to watch football and theatre.I enjoy meeting new people and getting new perspectives.
