Hey, you know how small businesses are, you got your hands in everything.Created digital and grassroots marketing campaigns. Integrated successful social media campaign including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and blogging into marketing plan. Increased exposure from a regional presence to a national presence, with independent contractors in 40+ states. Network expanded from 35 independent contractors to over 375. Sales at the company grew $35 million - from $10 million to $45 million - during the years of 2007-2011, despite the overall retail travel agency sector experiencing a 23% decline in sales in 2009. I set up experiences and created events to enhance the daily lives of the ~35 women living in Ascension Place's transitional housing shelter. We provided a safe environment for women recovering from drug/alcohol addiction, living with mental illnesses, and those struggling with homelessness or physical abuse.

Volunteer teacher at orphanage in rural Uganda. Taught things like agriculture (yes, this surprised me as well), astronomy, music, and English to lots of sweet kids.

Compliments of the Santa Clara County's Office of Education and Walden West Outdoor School, I was able to explore the redwoods, go on banana slug hunts, and get kids excited about the beauty that surrounded us!

My job entailed teaching kids in Los Angeles and Silicon Valley all about one of my favorite sports. I was even given my own hopper full of tennis balls - that's when you know you're a real tennis pro. ;)

Building and shooting off rockets, playing with liquid nitrogen, viewing the skies with the trusty 12" scopes, and "experiencing" microgravity in the pool -- all in the name of science. My goal: Helping kids understand that many of the basic concepts of science and astronomy can be found around us. Not only that, but science is way more fun than the stats and equations in their text books might have them believe!

I'm not going to pretend we were the best team, because we always came in last place. :) I was a fresh faced college student with no coaching experience who headed up Rocori's brand new girl's ski program. My goal was to bring a love of skiing to the girls of Rocori High School. So while we did not win (ever), we had a TON of fun and the seeds of a life-long love for an amazing and healthy sport were planted.Mission accomplished. :)
