Music Producer, self-taught musician, DJ and Radio Presenter, Ego Sum known as Ste to his friends and family rose out of the transformative period of lockdown at the end of 2020 somewhat phoenix like and truly hit the ground running. Former resident DJ at the infamous Dr Jekyll's, he moved to a new regular weekend residency at The Black Market II in Hastings old town after it relaunched under new ownership In the summer of 2022, beginning a monthly slot at Globall's bar in the heart of Brighton's buzzing marina area and teaming up with Glaswegian DJ LITTLE_ANDY™ in organising regular "The Sounds of" events and joining London, Kings Cross based Voices radio as a DJ/Presenter. A gifted multi-instrumentalist with an experimental nature Ste over the years has collaborated on numerous albums amongst them DJ Vadim's "U Can't Lurn Imaginashun" and the Electric's "Life Is Moving" debut album from the band he formed with Vadim while on tour in 2009 and System Olympia's much sort after "Delta of Venus", there have been remixes for the likes of Alice Russell, Foreign Beggars, Grandmaster Flash, Wax Tailor, Belleruche, Bassnectar, Testament Homecut and Corrine Bailey-Rae and numerous European and world tours with artists including Estelle, Nine Yards, Liam Bailey, Jasper Erkens (Altrego), Bilal, Jon B, Iman Omari, JESSE BOYKINS III and Melo-X. With several decades of experience on the global music scene as a DJ and Musician having collaborated with numerous artists across several genres Ste has acquired a vast wealth of experience and musical knowledge, he by default consistently delivers savvy performances at every gig, arena or dancefloor he encounters, a student of philosophy and psychology and an adept at reading the room, it brings him immense joy to see people truly losing themselves in the moment fuelled by music he's curated and selected.Ste loves above all else to create a feel good atmosphere free of inhibitions placing no limitations on his musical choices, he says his wish is that "If I genuinely love it then hopefully a few others will too".
