I am Autistic, have been reading since I was two and a half years old (February 1985) and have been on computers since I was three years old. I got my first computer on my third birthday in July 1985 (an Apple Lisa 2/10). Studied Mathematics extensively since I was four years old. Built several dozen computers during many summer vacations, when off of school. Been a member of NPR & PBS station KQED in San Francisco, for decades.Spent nearly four years in Speech Therapy (from 10/18/1984 to 05/25/1988) due to an inability to speak. Graduated nearly at top of the class in Elementary School (once), Middle School (once), and High School (twice). Education:-----------Started at Santa Rosa Junior College during the Fall 2013 semester. I completed TEN Associate degrees at Santa Rosa Junior College (entirely online, save for Public Speaking). Used knowledge acquired over the course of thirty-four years (through watching KQED / PBS, reading books, magazines [like Psychology Today], etc., in order to acquire several Associate degrees, and soon a BLA, an EdM, and an EdD degree. Helped students at Santa Rosa Junior College in classes by explaining materials, through tutoring. Helped students at Santa Rosa Junior College with class articulation/transfer/planning for degree(s). Helped students in person (when on campus) at Santa Rosa Junior College with placement exams and what classes to take. Studied extensively on administration tasks through observation, looking to do same in later occupation. Admitted to Sonoma State University (in Rohnert Park) to their hybrid Saturday Degree program in September 2021, which started in the Spring 2022 semester. Was the first SEIE student to be accepted into the McNair Scholars program. Was in student government for last twenty-one months, while being a part of the Sonoma State community (at a distance of 300 miles, the entire 30 months as a student). Graduated in May 2024, with departmental distinction and awarded Summa Cum Laude status.Admitted to UNC Charlotte on March 11, 2024, and started work there on Sunday, May 19, 2024, with Fall 2024 classes beginning on August 19, 2024. Career:--------Spent almost eighteen years in the United States Army (from 4/20/00 until 1/18/18), first as a Media Illustrator, then as an Enlisted Aide (Aide-de-Camp) to a Recruiting Office/Processing Station Commanding Officer, finally as an Aide-de-Camp and Career Counselor.
