Resident Assistants (RAs) are student leaders with live-in positions at the various residences, and are appointed after a rigorous selection process. As a Resident Assistant, I play a pivotal role to strengthen the support network for students residing in the residences, to look after their welfare and to enrich their residential experience. This is done in partnership with Resident Advisors (RAD) and Residential Life (RL).- Trained in Crisis Management, Pastoral Care, and Conflict Management.- Responsible for 1000+ residents from over 50 countries at University Town Residence.- Organized 30+ events and demonstrated attention to detail, organizational strengths and advanced skills in negotiations.

- Interviewed 100+ key stakeholders from vascular and orthopedic surgeons to Medtech companies to validate product-solution and product-market fit.- Discovered various customer segments, identified their pains and gains and validated our hypotheses through interviews. - Secured partnership with a clinical research organization (National University Hospital) to conduct pre-clinical trials.- Accepted as one of the 20 projects over 120+ applications into the prestigious Graduate Research Innovation Program (GRIP) Run 6 with a funding up to 100K SGD.

- Mapped out the post-COVID patient care pathway and identified gaps where digital health technologies can be implemented.- Pitched the idea of a digital patient by transforming the current patient care pathway using digital health technologies.- Winner of the Innovation think tank certification program and selected for further co-development and final presentation at the External Innovation Think Tank (eITT) Exhibition 2021.

- Selected as one of 30 fellows at NUS to learn and implement a systematic opportunity-discovery approach to commercialize an innovative haemostatic patch for enhanced wound care.- Led an inter-disciplinary team of engineering, management, and medicine students.- Consulted key stakeholders to determine the target customer and developed customer personas and storyboard.- Mapped competitor landscape to carve out the target segment and understand product pricing. - Secured Letter of Intent and established partnership with the key Singapore government organization to further develop the product for use in emergency bleeding situations.

- Liaised with the Ministry of Health Singapore and several Medtech companies to draft the first regulatory guideline in the APAC region for the use and implementation of AI in healthcare. - Conducted a reimbursement landscape analysis for Digital Health Technologies (DHTs) in the APAC region and key criteria to be considered while drafting the region’s first guideline for health technology assessments for DHTs.- Co-authored a position paper “Policy Pathways for Value Assessment and Reimbursement” with senior executives in the Medtech Industry.- Prepared an exhaustive report covering the Medtech landscape in APAC, identifying the market drivers and restraints.

- Engineered a vibration-based, biofilm disrupting working prototype for patients with Grade 1 Stage A/B diabetic foot wounds, to be used at home by a caregiver, to reduce the cost of wound treatment, within 13 weeks.- Collaborated with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, doctors and MBA students and brainstormed different potential solutions. Interviewed diabetic foot wound patients and podiatrists to understand their pain points and strategically incorporated potential solutions in our prototype.- Applied the biodesign process including regulatory, intellectual property and reimbursement concepts taught in class to ensure our product is commercially viable. - Spearheaded the project by arranging meetings with external regulatory and reimbursements consultants, IP lawyers and clinical trial strategists. Mitigated the risk to FDA Class II 510K.- Strategically designed a razor-razor blade business model to not only ensure a sustainable business but also to reduce the cost of diabetic foot wound treatment to almost 10% of the current treatment cost.- Drafted and submitted an invention disclosure for our prototype to the NUS Industry Liaison Office (ILO).- Creatively pitched at the final closed-door presentation and won Best Team Award and the opportunity to present to venture capitals during the SSB graduation ceremony.

- Fabricated two layered skin constructs with human fibroblasts and keratinocytes using 3D bioprinting to study potential adverse reactions of cosmetics as an alternative to current animal model testing.- Performed and analyzed the characterization results to determine the proliferation and viability of the cells in the skin construct.- Collaborated with a multi-disciplinary team of senior engineers and biologists from the P&G Innovation Centre and A*Star and presented key findings and updates to the P&G leadership as a team.

- Conceived a novel study with the help of my PhD mentor, to develop Polyetherimide membranes incorporated with polydopamine coated SBA-15 (pDA-SBA-15) using phase inversion technique (immersion precipitation) for oil/water emulsion separation.- Characterized the fabricated SBA-15 and pDA-SBA-15 using SEM, TEM, FT-IR, XPS, XRD and AFM to study its physical and chemical properties.- Evaluated the filtration performance of the fabricated pDA-SBA-15 incorporated membranes using an ultrafiltration kit and observed an enhanced pure water flux of 196 L m-2 hr-1 compared to pristine PEI membranes and >99% removal of oil when tested with a synthetic emulsion.- Determined its potential industrial applicability, by testing the pDA-SBA-15 incorporated membranes with produced water and observed a flux decline of only around 15% after 9 hours of operation thereby exhibiting excellent flux regeneration and anti-fouling properties.- Conducted bacteria adhesion studies using gram-negative bacterium, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and gram-positive bacterium, Bacillus subtilis, and observed a reduction of bacterial adhesion of >90% by the pDA-SBA-15 incorporated membranes.

- Collaborated with a multi-disciplinary team to perform Process Risk Analysis (PRA) using What-if and HAZOP methods and recommended preventive measures to reduce risk to ALARP level.- Evaluated adequacy of existing site layout and spacing for Domino effects and proposed potential control measures.- Developed Detailed Action Plans (DAP) by reviewing hazard scenarios for emergency response.- Drafted a roadmap for implementing suggested control measures to the health and safety team.
