Install, maintain, and manage access network OLTs and ONTs that provide internet access to the city of Cedar Falls. Assist with administration and maintenance of our IPTV system, which is shared with various cities in central and eastern Iowa.Serve as part of an on-call rotation to ensure maximum reliability of our network and systems.Leverage Asana to plan, prioritize, and document tasks and projects.Assist with HVAC maintenance and monitoring for our datacenter and fiber huts throughout Cedar Falls. SCADA:Install and configure new network infrastructure, including firewalls and core switch stacks. Deploy, configure, and maintain servers for documentation and monitoring.Keep an eye on how to improve our existing systems and setups, such as migrating away from excel to NetBox (ongoing). Maintain current and replace old switches with new models to ensure high availability and reliability of critical bulk electric system devices.Research and implement network changes to improve redundancy and ease of management.Establish a network switch replacement plan and assist with budget building.Understand and adhere to NERC CIP requirements as applicable to my portion of responsibility.
